Creating the Game
In December 2023—our 30th time greeting the new year in the United States—we wanted to add a little bit of magic to our annual New Year's celebration.
To add a special twist to our holiday traditions, we had the idea to create a board game to surprise everyone. So we took the elements of opening holiday presents, trivia games, and the classic white elephant gift exchange and swirled them all together to create a unique holiday board game!

The result was even better than we had hoped. Our family loved playing the game and shared so much laughter. It even saved our dinner! We had such a wonderful time that we decided to share the holiday joy.

Through playtesting and finessing the game, we've also updated the rules and the questions, added a kids' deck, and more. Currently, we're focused on our first production run following our successful Kickstarter campaign!
Because some of the core cultural traditions are the same, like decorating a tree and opening presents, we're able to offer two versions of our board game:

About Us
Anya and Irina are the sister duo behind Gifts Galore. For our family, New Year's (Новый Год), has always been a very special holiday with the most delicious food we could manage and thoughtful presents exchanged, even in the years when, as new refugees in the U.S., we had practically nothing.
Every year, multiple generations continue to gather on January 1st to start the year by celebrating together.
